Recipe Ideas
As you know, I’m on this everything-free diet, which means I’m on the lookout for new recipes (that do no involve tofu because, um, ick.) I thought I’d share some of my picks from last week. Not all are gluten-free and vegan. For some, I’d skip the cheese or go with goat’s milk. For others I’d use a gluten-free grain.
Here we go…

Creamy avocado, arugula, broccoli soup from Honest Fare

Twice-baked potatoes from The Kitchen Sink

Husband’s healing stew from Oh She Glows

Warm salad of roast cauliflower and quinoa from Stone Soup

Gluten-free savory baking powder biscuits from I Heart Wellness
Asparagus, pineapple, and cucumber sushi from Peas & Crayons

Lentil bolognese from Prevention RD

Artichoke and white bean dip from Food, Fitness, FreshAir
What are you cooking this week? (Yeah, sandwiches and cereal count.)

I love Cobb salad. Pre-Crazy Diet it was one of my favorite things to order out.
Enjoy it!

ha ha… cereal is something I “cook” on an almost daily basis… :p
I’ll find out my menu for the week soon- it all depends on what’s on special at the grocery store tonight when I go.
I’m crossing my fingers for asparagus to be involved.

You’re so good to go off of the specials. I always want to do that then fail.

Aw thanks! If you get a chance to try it, I hope you enjoy it! Are you still based in Maryland?

Those all look really yummy especially that baked potato. This week I am making turkey chili and since the weather is nice some pizza’s on the grill and then who know what for all the other nights.

Pizzas on the grill!?! *insert jealous face here*
The worst part of living in an apartment is the lack of grill.

Angela’s tomato cheezy risotto is one of my favorite things ever!
I discovered how hard eating gluten free while on the road can be. I had more then one Starbucks smoothie yesterday.

I just saw it…yummm.
Yeah, there aren’t many good gluten-free options that are super fast. Salads are great, but most portable ones have packaged dressings with gluten.
At least Starbucks has smoothies!

Last night I cooked soy-glazed salmon (gluten-free) and oven-roasted asparagus. SO GOOD!

All looks good! I’m literally on this everything free diet – including all cooked food, anything white, meat, etc. Well I can cheat for dinner until tmrw, but breakfast lunch and snacks are all raw
it’s making me sad, but I’m determined to physically feel better somehow.
Thanks so much for that rawfood website last week via comments! Heading to check it out now!

You’re most welcome. Don’t offer to come cook for me. You’ll blink and be on a plane to DC and my kitchen.
