6 Bad Ideas
Yeah, that’s a bad idea.
There are a lot of bad ideas. Take, for instance, the second dessert I ate the other night. Sounded good at the get go, but in reality it was one big mistake. Well, lately I’ve noticed a few other bad ideas. Perhaps their creators have a sick sense of humor. Or maybe they didn’t get the all-important foresight gene. Either way, here are some future fails…

Hot naked yoga. Because yoga mats wet from sweaty feet aren’t gross enough. The punch lines are endless with this one, but I’ll just add one more thing: Think real hard before using the studio’s free yoga mat. Real hard.

KFC’s Double Down sandwich. Here’s the scenario: You love chicken sandwiches but don’t want a bun since it adds unnecessary carbs. What to do? How about wedge your cheese, bacon, and sauce between two deep-fried chicken patties. Yes, that sounds about right. And then proceed to your nearest emergency room. (In case you’re curious, the sadistic concoction weighs in at 40 calories, 32 grams of fat and 1,380 milligrams of sodium.)

Healthy smoothies as snacks. How bad can a 12-ounce smoothie made with soy milk, peanut butter, bananas, chocolate, nonfat yogurt, and whey protein really be? If it’s Robeks’ version your between-meal snack will cost you 434 calories and 41 grams of sugar. Might want to stick to homemade. Just sayin’.

Cholesterol-lowering cereal. Right, because a bowl of Chocolate Cherrio’s each morning will undo all of the damage from yesterday’s Double Down.

Another Jennifer Lopez chick flick. I think J. Lo has it out for us. As if creating Monster In Law wasn’t punishment enough, we now have The Backup Plan. The previews alone make me want to claw my eyes out.

Eleven-hour days at work. Until The Man figures out his commute finds the best way around the horrible, insane, make-you-want-to-claw-your-eyes-out terrible DC traffic, I’m getting dropped off as the sun is rising and getting picked up as the sun is setting. Needless to say we’re both exhauste…
What bad ideas have you come across recently?

Fit Chick–Yes, it’s really on the menu. Even my twisted mind couldn’t come up with something so gross.

Laughing out loud…great post! And personally I can’t stand J Lo…she drives me nuts!

My husband and I saw that KFC sandwich commercial last night. We both were grossed out! And that J Lo movie looks horrible!!!! She can’t even act!

Kelly and Estela–Yeah, no into J. Lo the actress at all. Besides, this movie is so predictable from the previews, why bother seeing it in theaters.

You are too funny- J. Lo makes me want to claw my eyes out too. I love that last picture with the pug though. No matter what, pugs always make me smile.

Lauren–I totally agree: Pugs make me laugh uncontrollably. They all have such attitude and personality!

I agree that KFC’s sandwich is definitely not a good idea, or practically any smoothie you could get at a smoothie joint (that is, unless they stick with the basics, which is rare!). And hot naked yoga, on someone else’s mat…yeah, I definitely think I’ll pass on that!

I am so disgusted by that sandwich! And KFC in general. KFC is a bad idea altogether.
I’d also pass on naked anything. People without clothes are a bad idea.
J Lo needs to go away. She isn’t talented, she can’t sing or act. She looks good though, I’ll give her that at least.

KFC you crazy devil!!! Not again! I love Patton Oswalt’s stand up bit about this craziness.
I think that JLo needs to reassess the screen picks. And as much as I think she’s not made for the comedic performances, I also don’t think she’s made for the dramas either- case in point: “Enough.”
I think her best bet is the dancing. She’s great at that!

Andrea–I think the movie title says it all.

Yep, those are all bad ideas. I like smoothies (mostly in the summer) but I always just make my own with lowfat yogurt, fresh or frozen unsweetened fruit, a little Splenda, some protein powder, soymilk and ice. Comes out like a fruity milkshake. Fave flavor? Mango! GOOD idea!

The smoothie snack has tripped me up more times than I care to admit! Great post!!

u always have the best posts. too funny about the KFC sandwich…the other night i caught a clip of kathie lee and hoda taste-testing them,,,they couldnt stop eating it …sounds like me
and funny about the J-Lo movie…though i was fan of “maid in manhatten” and “the wedding planner”…good distractions when in need of mindless crap.

I’d like to add, the ridiculous amount of animal movies coming out. I’m talking about the really crappy ones with talking animals where they all start doing dances and such… who MAKES those movies? Who would star in them? And who would watch them??
I actually really want to try naked yoga sometime. Naked yoga in a hot room might be a bit much, though.
Yay for homemade smoothies!
This post definitely made me giggle.

Fabulous post! Love it! And yea–chocolate cheerios! Let’s add it in KFC’s Double Down lol!

This entire post had me cracking up
I can’t bring myself to use the gym yoga mats to begin with. Gosh…make this mental picture go away…!!
Hmm let’s see what bad ideas I’ve come across lately. OH! Don’t rush up the stairs when both hands are full of groceries…because when you fall UP the stairs, you don’t have any hands to stop you. I wish I could say that wasn’t a true story….

On the KFC emergency room joke. Did you realize there are actual studies showing people DO have more heart attacks immediately following meals like this? How’s that for instant gratification.
