Happy New Year. Hello, 2010.

Happy 2010, all. I hope you’re either recovering from last night’s Champagne fest or enjoying a day off from the daily grind.
I’m still off work and in Massachusetts visiting family. I’m spending the day shopping with my mother (now that’s what I call vacation) then watching my cousin’s band play at a local bar. Believe it or not, this will be one of my more active days: Walking around the mall is a big deal for el broken knees.
Will they swell? Will they turn an apple shade and become burning hot? How long will I be able to window shop—for two stores, three? And will I feel a dull ache or just shooting pain?
More importantly, will my left knee—the one that’s gotten PRP twice—last longer and feel better than the right? (Oh, please please please puhlease!) I’ll let you all know how they manage.
Aside from that, I’m taking the day off from reading research and posting a health-related article today. Consider this my reminder to you that some days you just need to focus on numero uno. (I’m not sure what’s with all of the Spanish. I’m French at heart. C’est la vie.)
Lemme know, what are your first plans for 2010?

Hope you enjoyed your day off! And that your feet and legs didn’t act up too much on you

Ditto, hope you had a lovely day and that you were able to see most of the shops you wanted to. I miss shopping trips with my Mom!

Sounds like a nice day, Tracey! Today I relaxed at home, made soup for a party tomorrow, revamped by cheese-but-still-important-to-me 2010 “vision board,” made pizza with Dan, and watched The Hurt Locker. You know I like my down time.

Glad your knee is feeling better!

Some days you really need to do nothing…that was my day after New Years. For the first time in forever, I laid around all day and watched a lot of TV.

Hope it was a great day–sometimes you just need to take it easy and take care of yourself!

Thanks so much for your kind comments on my knee-hiatus.
Funnily enough I was trying some squats with the ball against the wall yesterday – good to know that should be safe for knees.
